How does the Wordle solver work?
You type each guess and tap its tiles to match your game: gray, yellow or green. The solver keeps only words that would have given exactly those colors, handling repeated letters correctly, then ranks what is left.
Does it spoil the daily answer?
It does not know the daily answer. It only filters a word list by the clues you enter, so you stay in control of how much help you take.
What is the best Wordle starting word?
Any word with five different common letters works, such as CRANE, SLATE, TRACE, ADIEU. The table below shows which letters appear in the most five-letter words.
Why does it show words Wordle would not accept?
The word list has 8,596 five-letter words from open dictionaries, 3,530 of them everyday words. Wordle uses its own list, so a few words here may not be accepted and a few of its words may be missing. Everyday words are shown first because Wordle answers are usually common.
Does it work for other five-letter games?
Yes. Any game that gives green, yellow and gray feedback on five-letter guesses works the same way.
