Ways to use the filters
- Stuck at the end of a word. Put the ending in Ends with: ING, ED, ER, LY or TION.
- You already played a letter on the board. Type it in Contains so the list only shows words that use it.
- You want a long word for points. Raise Shortest word to 6 or 7.
- You are building a puzzle for kids. Tick common words only, then pick from the short ones.

Questions
How do I find words from letters?
Type the letters in the box and press Find words. The tool lists every word that can be built from those letters, using each one at most as many times as you typed it.
Can I find words that start or end with certain letters?
Yes. Fill in Starts with, Ends with or Contains. You can combine them, for example letters AEINRST, starts with S, ends with ED.
What does the question mark do?
It is a blank tile that can stand for any letter. Each ? you type adds one wildcard letter.
How many words can it find?
The dictionary holds 152,368 words of 3 to 12 letters. A seven-letter rack with no blanks usually returns 100 to 300 words.
Is it for Scrabble or Wordle?
It works for any game where you build a word from letters. For tile scores use the Scrabble word finder, and for five-letter clues use the Wordle solver.
