Questions
How do I use the Scrabble word finder?
Type your rack, up to 20 letters, with a ? for a blank tile. Type any letter already on the board into Must use letters. Words are listed longest first and tiles show the base score of each word.
Are the scores the same in Scrabble and Words With Friends?
No. Tile values differ: in Scrabble J is 8 and Y is 4, while in Words With Friends J is 10 and Y is 3. Use the Tile values menu to switch. Scores shown are base tile totals and do not include premium squares or bonuses.
Why is a word I played missing?
Our dictionary is built from open word lists, not the licensed tournament lists, so a few valid Scrabble words and very new additions will be missing. Two-letter words come from a separate list; set Shortest word to 2. Always follow your own game dictionary.
How do I play a Q without a U?
Use a word where Q stands alone, such as QAT, SUQ, QAID, QATS, QOPH. The full list is further down this page.
