Unlimited five-letter word game
This is the unlimited version of FIVE. Guess a hidden five-letter word in six tries, then press New word and play again as many times as you like. There is no daily limit, no signup and no waiting for tomorrow.
Pick Easy for words most people know, Standard for the full list, or Challenge for the less common answers with Hard mode turned on. Your wins, level and achievements are saved in this browser.
How to play
- Type a five-letter word and press Enter. Teal tiles are right letters in the right place, coral tiles are in the word but misplaced, and gray tiles are not in the word.
- You have six guesses. When the round ends, press New word to start another.
- Choose a level above the board. Easy uses familiar words. Challenge uses the rarer answers and Hard mode, so every hint must be reused.
- Unlimited rounds do not change your daily streak. Play the daily puzzle for that.
Tips
- Open with a word that has several different common letters, then use your second guess to test new ones.
- In Challenge, expect words with a double letter or an odd ending. Keep one guess for testing vowels.
- Use Settings for Hard mode, Colorblind mode and sound. Sound is off until you turn it on.
Questions
Is it really unlimited?
Yes. Press New word after every round. There is no daily cap. The word is picked at random and avoids the last twenty you played.
Is this like Wordle?
It is a Wordle-style word guessing game with its own name, its own word list and extra modes. FIVE is made by Brainiac Play.
Do unlimited games count toward my streak?
No. The daily streak only counts the daily puzzle. Unlimited has its own run of words solved in a row.
What do the levels mean?
Easy picks from about 300 common words. Standard picks from all 1,100 unlimited answers. Challenge picks the less common words and turns Hard mode on.
Will the unlimited word ever be the daily answer?
No. Daily answers are kept out of the unlimited list, so playing here never gives away a daily puzzle.
