FIVE Blitz, a three-minute word guessing game
Blitz is the timed version of FIVE. You have three minutes to solve as many five-letter words as you can. Each word gets six guesses. Solve it and the next word starts right away. Miss it and you move on.
A solved word scores 100 points, plus 40 for every guess you did not use. Your best score is saved in this browser.
How to play
- Press Start. The clock runs for three minutes.
- Type a five-letter word and press Enter. Teal is right, coral is misplaced, gray is not in the word.
- Solve a word to score and get a new one. If you run out of guesses, the word is shown and you move on with no points.
- When time is up you see your words, points, experience and a share button.
Tips
- Use a strong opening word and do not stop to plan. Fast, good guesses beat slow perfect ones.
- Solving in three guesses is worth 220 points. A fifth guess is worth 140. Speed matters more than perfect play.
- If a word is stuck, spend one guess on new letters instead of repeating hints.

How long is a Blitz round?
Three minutes. The timer starts when you press Start and the round ends when it hits zero, even in the middle of a word.
How is Blitz scored?
Each solved word scores 100 points plus 40 for every unused guess. A word you miss scores nothing.
Does Blitz change my daily streak?
No. Your daily streak only counts the daily puzzle. Blitz adds experience points and achievements.

Everyday five-letter words from the unlimited list. Daily answers are not in it.
