BOOKENDS unlimited: as many rounds as you like
This is the unlimited version of BOOKENDS. A hidden word sits between two bookends, and every real word you type moves one of them closer. Find the word, press New word, and play again. There is no daily limit and no signup.
Choose Easy for the 250 most common words of each length, Everyday for the 800 most common, or Hard for the whole list of about a thousand per length. Your unlimited rounds keep their own count of perfect rounds in a row and never change your daily streak.
How unlimited works
- Pick Easy, Everyday or Hard. The shelf of possible words is shown under the bookends.
- Type any real word and press Enter. The bookend on the side of the hidden word moves to your guess.
- Name the hidden word to finish. Your guesses and stars are shown, then press New word.
- Three stars count as a good round. Your best run of good rounds in a row is saved in this browser.
Questions
Is it really unlimited?
Yes. Press New word after every round. The hidden word is picked at random and avoids the last twenty you played.
Does unlimited change my daily streak?
No. Only the daily puzzle counts for your streak. Unlimited rounds have their own run of good rounds.
What do Easy, Everyday and Hard mean?
They set how many words the hidden word can come from: the 250 most common of its length, the 800 most common, or all of them.
Will the unlimited word ever be a daily answer?
It can be: unlimited draws from the same everyday word list. Past and future daily words are not hidden from it, so play the daily puzzle first if you want a fresh one.
