Whisker Wander is a free cozy 3D game about Rusty, the ginger cat from Cozy Cat Home, out for a walk around a little pastel town. Each day his neighbour Mrs. Plum has lost three things around town. Follow the scent, look inside bushes, pots and crates, and bring them home, then explore seven districts at your own pace. It runs in your browser on phones and computers. No account, no download, and your progress is saved on your device.
How to play
- On a phone, tap the ground to walk there, or hold and drag to steer. Tap Jump, or tap a fence or table top, to jump up. Two fingers turn and zoom the view.
- On a computer, WASD or the arrow keys move, Shift runs and Space jumps. Click to walk somewhere, drag to look around and use the wheel to zoom.
- Coloured scent squiggles rise from the hiding place of a lost thing. Walk up to a bush, pot, crate, leaf pile, barrel or basket to look inside.
- Arrows at the edge of the screen point to each district that still hides something. When all three are found, follow the paw prints home to Rusty's mat.
- Stuck? Tap Sniff and Rusty draws a paw trail to the nearest lost thing.
Rules
- One daily walk each day: three lost things, spread over the open districts, plus a bonus in the newest district. Players with the same districts open get the same hiding places that day.
- Three stars: one for bringing everything home, one for the bonus and one for a walk with no sniffs.
- The score is 100 for each find and 150 for the bonus, plus a time bonus that runs out after 6 minutes, minus 50 for each sniff.
- Maple Lane, the Market corner and Willow Park are open from the start. Each daily walk opens the next district: the Harbour, the Hilltop, the Rose Maze and then Chimney Row.
- After each daily walk Mrs. Plum gives Rusty something to wear, and new stickers go up on his windowsills.
- After the daily walk the town stays open in free roam, with no list and no clock.
- Your album, outfits and walk are saved in this browser. Clearing site data resets them.
Tips
- Follow the scent first. The squiggles are the colour of the lost thing.
- Jump onto fences, walls and roofs. Every district has a sunny spot up high where Rusty can bask.
- Sit next to a neighbour cat to make friends. A cat with a speech bubble has news for Rusty.
A worked example: your first walk
Tap Let's wander. Rusty wakes up on his mat, and an arrow points at a bush in his own garden. Walk up to it and he finds the first lost thing.
The arrows at the edge of the screen now point to the Market corner and Willow Park. Follow the coloured scent in each, then the paw prints home.
A common mistake
Opening every pot on the way. Most hiding places are empty. Walk toward the coloured scent squiggles and look inside where they rise.
How it differs
No time limit and no way to lose; speed only adds a small bonus to the score. The daily walk is the same for everyone with the same districts open, the town opens one district per walk, and what you find ends up on Rusty's windowsills.
