How a falling letters word game works
- Swipe a word. Drag across a theme word in any straight line. It can read across, down, on a diagonal or backward.
- Tiles burst and fall. The tiles above drop into the gap and new letters drop in from the top.
- Combos. If the fall makes another theme word, it bursts without you touching it. Each step multiplies the score: x2, x3, up to x8.
- Moves. Every swipe of 3 or more tiles uses a move. Words that burst in a chain are free, and chains of x3 or more give a move back.
- Power-ups. Chains earn a Reveal, a Shuffle and a Bomb that clears a 3 by 3 block.
Tips for bigger combos
- Start low. A word near the bottom moves more tiles when it bursts, so a chain is more likely.
- Look at the letters above a word. If they spell part of another theme word, bursting the word below can finish it.
- Do not rush. Each swipe costs a move, and the three-star finish needs very few wrong ones.

What is a falling letters word game?
It is a word game where letters sit on a grid like tiles. When you find a word, those tiles disappear, the tiles above drop down, and new letters fall in. The board keeps changing as you play.
What is a word search with combos?
In CASCADE you search for theme words like in a normal word search. When the fall lines up another theme word, it bursts by itself. That is a combo, or chain. Each step in the chain multiplies your score, up to x8.
Is it like Word Crush or Wordscapes?
It is a cousin. You swipe straight lines of letters, like a word search, and the letters fall like a match game. It is free and works in the browser, with no account.
Can I get stuck?
No. After every move, each theme word you have not found is still readable on the board. Only your swipes use up your moves, and a chain of x3 or more gives one move back.
