How the fights work
When a piece captures another, the two characters play a short fight: the attacker pounces, slashes, casts a spell, smashes, blinks or pulls rank, depending on its role. You can choose full fights, quick fights or none, and tap to skip a fight any time.
For kids
Level 1 is gentle and makes many mistakes, so a first game is a win more often than not. A good first lesson is how each piece moves, and the pieces in the game match the lessons there.
How to play
It is standard chess. Tap one of your pieces to see where it can go, then tap a square. Win by checkmating the other king. New to chess? Start with how to play chess and how each piece moves.
