What makes it 3D
Each piece moves in its own style: pawns hop, knights leap, bishops glide, rooks stomp, queens blink and kings waddle.
When a piece captures, the two fight a short battle. Choose full, quick or none, and tap to skip.
Drag to orbit, pinch to zoom, and use the camera button for a player view, top-down or low angle.
Camera and controls
- Orbit: drag with a mouse or one finger.
- Zoom: scroll or pinch.
- Pan: right-click drag, or two fingers.
- Reset view: a button appears once you move the camera. Long-press it for player, top-down and low presets.
- Move pieces: tap a piece to see where it can go, then tap the square. A tap that barely moves never counts as a camera drag.
Settings
- Fights: full, quick or off.
- Board colors: cream, mint and peach, or slate night.
- Clocks: optional, for games against the computer or a friend.
- Lineup: swap in extra cat and dog breeds for each army.
Other ways to play
- Against the computer. Five levels, from Kitten to Legend. See the levels.
- Pass and play. Two players on one phone.
- Daily mate puzzle. A new checkmate puzzle every day.
- Colors. Three board color schemes: cream, mint and peach, and slate night.
