Skyfire is a free dragon flying game in your browser. You steer a dragon through rings in a canyon, burn targets, and win materials to forge upgrades and gear. It is a 3D game that runs on phones and computers, with no download.
How to play
On a phone, drag the thumb stick on the left to steer and use the FIRE, BOOST and ROLL buttons on the right.
On a computer, W and S or the arrow keys climb and dive and A and D turn, or steer with the mouse and the dragon flies toward the pointer.
Space or left click fires. Shift or right click boosts, C brakes and Q or E rolls to dodge. Esc pauses.
Fly through the rings, with the centre of a ring scoring a perfect, and burn the targets on the way.
After a flight, spend what you collected in the Forge, then open the next level.
Rules
There are five maps with five levels each: Ember Canyon, Frost Wyrm Cavern, Storm Coast, Volcanic Peaks and Roost-Tower City. Clear level 5, the Rival Race, to open the next map.
Later levels bring tighter rings, moving rings, swinging boulders, wind, turrets that shoot, chaser wyverns and timed runs.
Your score counts rings, burns, turrets, wyverns brought down, stunt moves such as a low pass or a close call, a combo multiplier up to x5 and a time bonus. Each level awards stars.
Flights drop materials from each map, and rarer ones come from 3-star runs, rare targets, turrets and rivals. Spend them on upgrades for speed, boost, turning, fire rate, range, stamina and health.
The Forge also has armour, saddles, horn and wing trims, flame colours and hides, so you can change how your dragon looks.
Besides the campaign there is a Daily course that is the same for everyone, an Endless sky and challenge links. Progress is saved in your browser.
Tips
Dive to gain speed and climb to spend it; the flight model gains speed in dives and loses it in climbs.

A worked example: your first flight
Push the stick toward the first ring and fly through its centre for a perfect. Hold fire when a target comes up and burn it as you pass.
When the level ends you get stars, embers and materials. Open the Forge to turn them into an upgrade and then pick the next level.
A common mistake
Holding the stick over hard and losing speed. Dive to build speed first, then climb, and line up on the centre of each ring early.
How it differs
This is a flying game, not a word game or a puzzle. You score by line, speed and aim, and what you earn goes into a Forge that changes your dragon.
